Mining Of Minerals

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for industries is a vital process that evaluates the environmental consequences of establishing and operating industrial facilities. It ensures industries grow sustainably by identifying, predicting, and mitigating potential adverse impacts on the environment. Framework for managing environmental performance, including Waste management, Emergency response plan, Pollution control measures, Resource efficiency (energy/water), Monitoring and reporting. Determines if the proposed industrial project needs an EIA. In industries like cement, chemical, metallurgical, power plants, textile, etc. require prior environmental clearance. Evaluates environmental impacts during both construction and operation: – Air Emissions (from chimneys, vehicles, fugitive sources), Water Pollution (effluents, spills, wastewater discharge), Soil Contamination (hazardous waste, leachate), Noise & Vibration (machinery, transport), Occupational Health & Safety Risks, Impact on flora/fauna and nearby settlements. Submission to the Environmental Appraisal Committee (EAC), Reviewed by MoEF&CC or SEIAA, depending on category, may require revisions before approval.
